CPR/AED for Adults

Description: This course covers adult CPR and the use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). This technique has been shown to be more effective than C.P.R. in a cardiac arrest. Students also learn how to deal with conscious and unconscious choking patients. This is a two-hour course
Course validation period: 2 years
Cost: $50 per student

Basic First Aid

Description: This is a basic first aid course that covers a wide range of common emergencies found in industrial and business settings. This is two-hour course that includes lecture, demonstration, and hands-on participation by students.
Course validation: 2 years
Cost: $40.00 per student; $30.00 per student if combined with Basic Life Support

Combination CPR/AED and First Aid

Description: This is the combination of CPR/AED and First Aid in the same session in a 4 hour time frame.
Course validation: 2 years
Cost: $80.00 per student

Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid

Description: This is a combination CPR/AED and First Aid class but designed for those who require the pediatric option such as day care facilities. This is a four-hour course.
Course validation: 2 years
Cost: $80 per student

Basic Life Support

Description: This course meets the certification and re-certification needs of health care workers. These classes include one and two rescuer emergency procedures for CPR and choking emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. Causes and treatment of sudden death are discussed. This is a three-hour course
Course validation period: 2 years
Certification Course: $75.00 per student

Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS)

Description: This program gives teenagers everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. From getting started with their business, to working with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving and first aid tips, CABS helps set up teens and young adults for babysitting success.
Validation Period: 2 years
Cost: $45.00 per student

Bloodborne Pathogens

Description: This course has been developed to assist those who may have exposure to bloodborne pathogens. This course is in compliance with the Blood Borne Pathogen Standards set forth by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. This course takes about one hour.
Course validation period: 2 years
Cost: $25.00 per student
Price is reduced to $20.00 if taught in combination with other classes

Travel Expenses

Travel expenses are included for customers in the Roanoke Valley. For customers outside the Roanoke Valley, we charge $0.55 a mile per instructor and, in rare cases, may negotiate a surcharge (ie. more than a 2 hour drive from Roanoke or Daleville, VA)

“Blended” Classes

A “Blended” Class allows the student to receive most of the instruction online, at their own time and pace, then attend a skills session to practice and demonstrate the skills required. Please contact us via the Contact Page for more information on this option.

Room Rates

We specialize in providing excellent training at our customer’s place of business. For our clients that do not have the space available to host a class, we have rooms available in public buildings at very reasonable rates.

Adjustments

The prices listed are for classes with a 6 student minimum. For smaller classes, or if paying via credit card, Southwest Virginia Training may negotiate a different pricing structure.
